Journal #1 (Senior Year)
It’s the first week of Senior year and my feelings are mixed. I’m excited to be back especially as a Senior because I get to see my friends that I didn’t see during the summer and I get to experience our 4th and final year together. I’m also feeling sad because it’s going to be our last time together as a class and we’ll have our final memories before we all go our separate ways. I am currently on pace with all of my classes and I hope to continue that for the rest of my Senior year. For my Senior project I am currently working my 4th and 5th journal but I still have to do a lot of work for it since we never got the chance to work on our Senior projects for the past 3 years, but I am determined to finish my Senior project so I get to graduate with my classmates and hopefully go to a 4 year University at either San Jose State, Fresno State, CSU Stanislaus or CSU Bakersfield. What’s been interesting about my project is thinking about the memories that I made with my classmates and finally realizing that I’m close to graduating! The thing that I’m looking forward to this Senior year is trying to make more fun memories with my classmates, playing soccer for the last time with my amazing teammates, Grad Night and of course, graduation. My goal this year is to not procrastinate because it won’t be acceptable if I want to go to a University or get a job. It’s a horrible habit of mine that I need to stop so I can be more successful in decisions and life in general. My main goal is to pass all of my classes and to graduate with my class. I am excited to see what this year has in store for me and I am ready to see how this year will help me prepare for my future.

Journal #2 (Senior Year)
I am certainly nervous about graduation because I have no idea what the future has in store for me. Just thinking about it makes me very nervous. Honestly, I haven’t really had any preparations for graduation. I’m first trying to stay on pace with my classes and hopefully pass all of them, but maybe when it’s half way for graduation I’ll have more of an idea to prepare for it. Wow, there’s a lot I still need to do. First, I need to pass one of my classes that I didn’t pass during Sophomore year which is World History. I need to apply to colleges, sign up for the SAT and hopefully get a good score. I also need to apply for scholarships so I can go to a University since my parents can’t afford it. I am most looking forward to graduation because it’ll be exciting graduating with the people who I started high school with and also looking forward to what the future has in store for me after graduation. I am grateful that a lot of teachers didn’t give up on me even when I really wanted to. They really believed in me and they convinced me that I am actually smarter than I think which made me think that I can do almost anything! I’m also grateful for their amazing advice and I will for sure take their advice to heart in the future. I’m happy that I still have these amazing friends and hopefully after we graduate we all stay in contact and make more memorable memories together.
Journal #3 (Senior Year)
After finishing my first semester I'm slowly realizing that graduation is around the corner and I'm very excited! I'm proud to say that I passed all of my classes especially because I have some challenging classes. I struggled with Pre-Cal/Trig since its a college prep class, but I was determined since my Junior year of high school that I was going to take it and pass it. I have also struggled with Physiology and Chemistry. Physiology is really about memorizing and studying everything so it's been helping me prepare for college since it's mostly about that. Chemistry has been difficult as well because anything in the science department hasn't been my type of thing, but I'm glad that I was able to pass it and all the other classes that were difficult for me and I'm also hoping that by the time I graduate I pass 7 out of 7. I have been accepted to two Universities were are: CSU Bakersfield and CSU Stanislaus. I am leaning towards CSU Stanislaus because it looks very calm. I want to try to move somewhat far away from Lindsay because I want to challenge myself by living independently. I think Stanislaus would be perfect for me because it provides me that and also it's in a town that isn't too small or too big and that's where I want to live where it's not too big or too small.
